Hull and Deck
Beneteau's teak decks are bonded directly to the fiberglass sub-strate without need for the traditional 'screw and plug' technique. The result is a beautiful teak deck finish without the inherent problems of water intrusion through the screw holes which causes 'lifting' and 'staining' found all too frequently in traditional teak decks. There is nothing like the feel of teak underfoot and a teak deck is a 'look' desired by all.
Outstanding among the many custom additions to be found on this boat is a stainless steel radar arch located over the transom, and constructed with oversized (2" diameter) stainless steel tubing, at a cost of over $15,000. A sturdy lifting davit is incorporated into the arch design, on the starboard side, making it a breeze to lift the dinghy and the outboard motor from the water for stowage onboard, and re-launch when needed. A mount for the outboard motor is incorporated in the design - another thoughtful addition to ensure that this boat is easy to handle at all levels. The radar arch also provides a solid mounting platform for the two solar panels and wind generator.
